When you affirmatively accept such terms (for example by checking a box or clicking "I agree"), those terms supplement these Terms for the specific action you are taking.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" includes that organization.

No Affiliation with College Board, ACT, or ETS
AP Practice Exam Online is an independent educational practice platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to the College Board, ACT, Inc., Educational Testing Service (ETS), or any other official testing organization.
Disclaimer: AP®, SAT®, and Bluebook™ are trademarks registered by the College Board, which is not affiliated with, and does not endorse, this website. All practice materials provided here are independently created.
SAT®, AP®, and other trademarks belong to their respective owners. References to "SAT," "AP," "Bluebook," or similar terms on the Service describe the subject matter or format of practice materials and do not imply official status.
Practice exams, scores, and AI-generated content do not represent official test results and must not be presented as official College Board, ACT, or ETS materials. You must not upload official unreleased exam content or materials you are prohibited from sharing.
User Content and Ownership
You retain ownership of User Content you upload, subject to the licenses you grant below and our rights to operate the Service.
You represent and warrant that:
- You own or have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to upload and use User Content on the Service;
- Your User Content does not infringe any third party's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights;
- Your User Content complies with these Terms and applicable law; and
- You will not upload malware, harmful code, or content designed to disrupt the Service.
We do not claim ownership of your original PDFs. Extracted Content derived from your uploads may incorporate structural formatting and metadata created by our systems; your rights in the underlying substantive exam content remain yours, subject to the license below and any third-party rights in source materials.
License Grant to AP Practice Exam Online
By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, translate (for extraction purposes), display, and distribute User Content and Extracted Content solely as necessary to:
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service;
- Perform AI Processing and scoring at your direction;
- Display Private Exams to you and authorized systems;
- Review, moderate, and—if you publish—display Published Exams to other users with appropriate attribution;
- Enforce these Terms, respond to legal requests, and protect rights and safety; and
- Create aggregated, de-identified analytics to improve product quality.
This license continues for the period your content is stored on the Service and as needed for backup, audit, legal compliance, and dispute resolution, as described in our Privacy Policy. If you delete content or your Account, we will delete or anonymize data in accordance with our retention practices, except where retention is required by law or legitimate business needs (e.g., consent logs, moderation records).
For Published Exams, you additionally grant other users a limited license to access and use the published practice content for personal, non-commercial study through the Service, subject to these Terms and displayed attribution.
Source Attestation and Copyright Compliance
Before AI analysis of an uploaded PDF, you must complete a Source Attestation declaring the origin of the materials (such as a published preparation book, test-prep agency materials, or school/personal resources). You must affirm that the PDF is not official College Board, ACT, Bluebook, or other prohibited official exam content.
You agree that:
- False, misleading, or incomplete source declarations may result in rejection of publication, removal of content, Account restrictions, or termination;
- You are solely responsible for ensuring your uploads comply with copyright law and any license restrictions on source materials;
- We may verify source URLs or metadata where you provide them; and
- Repeated or egregious misrepresentation may be treated as a material breach of these Terms.
Copyright complaints and takedown procedures are governed by our Copyright & DMCA Policy. We respond to valid notices and maintain a repeat infringer policy as described there and in Section "Repeat Infringer Policy" below.
Moderation
When you request public publication, your submission may enter a moderator review queue. Moderators (employees, contractors, or authorized volunteers) may approve, reject, request changes, or unpublish exams based on criteria including:
- Copyright and source attestation accuracy;
- Compliance with acceptable use rules;
- Quality, completeness, and safety of extracted content;
- Duplicate or spam submissions; and
- Reports from users or rights holders.
Moderator decisions are final for platform purposes, though you may appeal by contacting info@apracticexamonline.com. We are not obligated to publish any submission. Approved Published Exams may display English source attribution to other users (e.g., "Questions adapted from [source]").
We may remove or unpublish content at any time if we believe it violates these Terms, applicable law, or third-party rights, with or without notice where permitted.
AI Processing
The Service may send portions of your uploaded PDFs and related text to third-party AI providers (such as Google Gemini and Anthropic Claude) to extract questions, analyze passages, score responses, or generate feedback.
Consent required: You must provide explicit consent before each upload session or processing action where required by our product flows and your legal region. AI output may contain errors, omissions, or misinterpretations. AI Processing is provided for practice and study purposes only and must not be relied upon as authoritative, official, or guaranteed accurate.
You acknowledge that:
- AI providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies;
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted AI availability or specific model versions;
- You should review extracted content for accuracy before relying on it or publishing it; and
- Details of AI data handling are described in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to:
| Prohibited conduct | Examples |
|---|---|
| Illegal activity | Uploading or sharing content that violates copyright, export controls, or other law |
| Official exam misuse | Uploading unreleased or restricted official College Board, ACT, or ETS materials |
| Harmful content | Malware, exploits, phishing, or content that endangers minors |
| Abuse of others | Harassment, hate speech, doxing, or targeted abuse of users or moderators |
| Service interference | Scraping, crawling, rate-limit evasion, reverse engineering, or denial-of-service |
| Circumvention | Bypassing moderation, consent flows, paywalls, or access controls |
| Misrepresentation | Impersonation, false source claims, or fake copyright ownership |
| Commercial exploitation | Reselling Service access or Published Exams without authorization |
| Automated abuse | Bots creating Accounts, spam publishing, or fraudulent attempts |
We may investigate violations, remove content, suspend or terminate Accounts, and cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate. Reporting concerns: info@apracticexamonline.com.
Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with applicable copyright law (including the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act where relevant), we maintain a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the Accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
Factors we may consider include the number of valid takedown notices, severity of infringement, source attestation fraud, and response to warnings. Details of notice and counter-notification procedures are in our Copyright & DMCA Policy.
Attribution for Published Content
When an exam is approved for public display, we may show source attribution in English to other users, based on your Source Attestation and moderator review (for example: "Questions adapted from [Book Title / Provider / School materials]").
You agree that:
- Attribution reflects information you provided and does not constitute our endorsement of any third party;
- You will not remove or alter required attribution on Published Exams; and
- Other users may see attribution but may not republish content outside the Service except as permitted by law and these Terms.
Third-Party Services and Links
The Service integrates Third-Party Services for hosting, authentication (Supabase), AI processing, advertising (Google AdSense, where enabled), email delivery, and analytics. Your use of those services may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies.
We may link to external websites. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices. Inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.
See our Privacy Policy for a list of sub-processors and cross-border transfer information.
Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT (INCLUDING AI-GENERATED AND USER-GENERATED CONTENT) ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY.
WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free;
- AI extraction, scoring, or feedback will be accurate or complete;
- Practice exams reflect current official test formats or difficulty; or
- Published Exams are free from third-party intellectual property claims.
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties; in those cases, our disclaimers apply to the fullest extent permitted.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
- WE AND OUR AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, MODERATORS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE; AND
- OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).
These limitations apply whether liability is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including fraud or willful misconduct, or death/personal injury caused by negligence where such limitation is prohibited).
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AP Practice Exam Online and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and moderators from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your User Content or Published Exams;
- Your violation of these Terms or applicable law;
- Your infringement or misappropriation of third-party rights;
- False or misleading Source Attestations; or
- Your use of the Service in a manner not authorized by these Terms.
We may assume exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification, and you agree to cooperate with our defense.
Termination
By you: You may stop using the Service and delete your Account at any time via Privacy settings.
By us: We may suspend or terminate your access, remove content, or decline publication with or without notice if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, pose a risk to the Service or others, or where required by law. Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service ceases immediately;
- We may delete or retain data as described in our Privacy Policy; and
- Sections that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive.
Termination does not relieve you of obligations incurred before termination.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on the Service and update the "Last updated" date and version number. Where required by law or our consent framework, we may ask you to re-accept updated Terms before continued use.
Your continued use after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance, except where applicable law requires explicit consent. If you do not agree to revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your Account.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which AP Practice Exam Online is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.
Before filing a formal legal claim, you agree to contact us at info@apracticexamonline.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days.
Unless prohibited by applicable law, you agree that disputes will be resolved in the courts located at our principal place of business, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. Nothing prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief for intellectual property or unauthorized access.
If you are an EU/EEA consumer, you may also have rights to bring claims in your country of residence under mandatory law.
Severability and Waiver
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Copyright & DMCA Policy, and any consents you provide in product flows, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede prior agreements on the same subject matter.
Copyright and Intellectual Property
Our Service, including its design, logos, software, and documentation (excluding User Content), is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of our proprietary materials except as expressly permitted.
